Randy Boyd, born in Knoxville, Tennessee, is a prominent entrepreneur and academic leader. He founded Radio Systems Corporation in 1991, a company specializing in pet products under brands like PetSafe and Invisible Fence. Boyd's business ventures have significantly contributed to Knoxville's economy, creating numerous jobs and fostering local economic growth. Beyond his entrepreneurial endeavors, Boyd has demonstrated a strong commitment to public service and education. He played a pivotal role in developing the Tennessee Promise program, which offers high school graduates two years of tuition-free community or technical college education. In 2018, Boyd was appointed as the 26th president of the University of Tennessee System, a position he continues to hold, leading the university's statewide operations and initiatives.
